Our opinion of this rifle scope

The Shogun team is impressed by the price-quality ratio of this rifle scope. The image is sharp from edge to edge without a distracting dark ring, and the VMT-MIL reticle with mildot markings remains perfectly legible even at higher magnifications. The turrets can be adjusted without tools – very practical during use.

Technology and optical performance

The Matiz has a 3-9x magnification range with a 40mm objective lens. The fully multi-coated optics provide a bright and high-contrast image with a wide field of view of 6.3 to 2.2°. The 1/10 MIL capped adjustment allows for fine-tuning, while the 4 inch eye relief enables comfortable aiming.

This rifle scope weighs 390 grams and has a tube diameter of 1 inch (25.4mm). The 6061 T6 aluminium housing is filled with nitrogen gas to prevent fogging and tested for shocks up to 600 grams. The parallax is factory set at 100 metres with a Second Focal Plane (SFP) construction.

Mounting and compatibility

This rifle scope is supplied with mounting pieces for Weaver/Picatinny rails – this is the standard for airsoft replicas and many PCP air rifles. It offers secure attachment and broad compatibility with modern platforms.

Note: for traditional air rifles with an 11mm dovetail rail, you will need separate mounting pieces. The included mounts are specifically for 22mm rails. Lens caps and a cleaning cloth are also included.
