Our experience with the AEA Megalodon 22"

Immediately upon picking it up, it stands out: at 4037 grams, this air rifle is heavy and feels incredibly solid. The robust aluminium frame exudes quality. What particularly appeals to us is the clever pump-action system around the front cylinder. The diagonal grooves provide perfect grip during reloading, and the great thing is that you do not need to move your hands while shooting. This works surprisingly smoothly and quickly, even with this weight.

Technology and performance

The Megalodon operates with two PCP cylinders that together have a capacity of 600 cc. With a maximum fill pressure of 310 bar, you achieve extreme performance from this powerful air rifle. The 560 mm long barrel ensures excellent precision at long distances. Please note: this is an unregulated system, so keep a close eye on the pressure gauge on the left side for consistent shots. Use and operation

This air rifle, despite its considerable weight, sits comfortably in the hand thanks to the ergonomic pistol grip with preformed finger grooves. You can hold it firmly with one hand while operating the pump-action with the other. The single action trigger provides a predictable shot. On top, there is an interrupted Weaver/Picatinny rail for your rifle scope – and you will really need it as there are no iron sights. Underneath, you will find a short accessory rail for, for example, a bipod. The universal shoulder piece fits both left- and right-handed shooters perfectly.
