Air Venturi Long Shotshells – specialised air rifle ammunition for short-range spread

The Air Venturi Long Shotshells are a unique type of air rifle ammunition specifically developed for situations where controlled spread is required. With a calibre of 12.7mm and 170 grain of #6 shot per cartridge, these shotshells create an effective spread pattern of approximately 30 cm at a distance of 18 metres. This makes them suitable for powerful PCP air rifles from 300 joules upwards that are equipped for .50 calibre ammunition.

These shotshells perform best in PCP systems with sufficient power to effectively propel the heavy 170 grain load. The projectile consists of multiple small pellets that disperse after leaving the barrel. At short distances up to around 20 metres, you maintain a consistent spread, which makes this ammunition particularly suitable for specific applications where a single projectile would be less effective. The lead construction ensures sufficient mass per individual pellet.

Each shotshell has a diameter of 12.7mm (.50 calibre) and a length of 26mm. The total load of 170 grain consists of #6 shot – small lead pellets that together form an effective spread pattern. The lead material ensures good energy transfer on impact. Each pack contains 50 pieces, sufficient for extensive use. Due to the weight and spread, this ammunition is only suitable for powerful PCP air rifles with sufficient energy output.
