Experience from the Shogun team

During a bushcraft weekend, we tested this knife intensively. The weight of 840 grams initially felt heavy, but proved perfect for chopping firewood. The grip remained stable even with wet hands, although we did miss some texture on the smooth Pakkawood handle.

Performance and sharpness of this knife

The 7Cr17MoV stainless steel offers a good balance between hardness and ease of maintenance. This razor-sharp blade with Bowie shape cuts effortlessly through rope, wood and food. The plain-edge cutting edge makes sharpening easy, although you will need to touch up the knife regularly for optimal sharpness.

Grip and ease of use

The brown Pakkawood handle is comfortable to hold, but can become slippery during intensive use. Due to the weight, the balance is forward, perfect for chopping but less suitable for fine cutting work. The included leather sheath protects the blade well during transport.
