H&N Grizzly – heavy hollow point slugs for powerful PCP air rifles

The H&N Grizzly is a serious slug for shooters seeking maximum impact. With a weight of 31 grain in 6.35mm calibre and a star-shaped hollow point, this projectile is specifically developed for powerful PCP systems with a minimum of 50 joules. The unique star shape ensures optimal energy transfer on impact, making this slug extremely suitable for rat control and other forms of pest control at distances up to 75 metres.

Our experience from the Shogun team

In our tests, the Grizzly performed excellently in heavy PCP air rifles such as the FX Impact and Daystate Wolverine. The heavy lead projectile retains its energy well over longer distances and the hollow point expansion is consistent. The aerodynamic design ensures a stable flight, even in windy conditions. At 50 metres, we achieved groups of less than 2 centimetres with a well-tuned PCP air rifle of at least 50 joules.

The 6.35mm calibre offers the perfect balance between penetration and energy transfer. The star-shaped hollow point expands reliably on impact, resulting in maximum energy release. Each pack contains 150 pieces, enough to perfectly zero your rifle and still have plenty in reserve. A chronograph is recommended to determine the optimal velocity for your specific air rifle.

Who is this air rifle ammunition suitable for?

The H&N Grizzly is intended for experienced shooters with powerful PCP systems who require precision and impact at medium ranges. Perfect for field target competitions where heavy knock-down targets must be toppled. Due to the hollow point construction, this slug is also suitable for pest control, but please note: the use of an air rifle for pest control is regulated by law. In many cases, a permit or hunting licence is required, and this is only permitted for recognised pest controllers or certified users.
