The blade is made from 1045 carbon steel with a blade length of 53 cm. The overall length is 78 cm. The handle is traditionally wrapped with genuine ray skin (same) under dark blue cotton. The black lacquered wooden sheath protects the blade and completes the piece with a classic Japanese look.
