The blade is crafted from 1045 carbon steel with an overall length of 41 cm, of which the blade itself measures 26.5 cm. The handle is covered with genuine ray skin and wrapped with black cotton tsuka-ito. The black lacquered wooden saya and brass habaki give the whole an authentic look.
