The 3Cr13 steel is a reliable choice for beginners – it stays reasonably sharp and is easy to maintain. The tanto point cuts effortlessly through rope, cardboard, and wood. For heavy-duty tasks, the 3mm thick blade is sturdy enough, although you will need to sharpen it more often than premium steels.

Grip and ease of use

The brown handle feels comfortable in the hand and provides a good grip, even in wet conditions. The linerlock clicks securely into place and is easy to operate. Thanks to the spring-assisted system, you can open this knife quickly with one hand – useful when your other hand is occupied.

Maintenance and durability

The 3Cr13 steel is reasonably rust-resistant, but do dry the knife after use in damp conditions. Sharpen it regularly with a sharpening stone or rod. A drop of oil on the hinge will keep the opening mechanism smooth.
