Performance and sharpness of this pocket knife

The 3Cr13MoV steel is a Chinese steel type that performs well for the price – it stays reasonably sharp and is easy to resharpen. The black oxide blade finish protects against corrosion. This knife with a spearpoint blade shape cuts effortlessly through rope, cardboard, and food, although you will need to resharpen it more often on heavier wood compared to more expensive steel types.

Grip and ease of use

The aluminium handle with its 12.7 cm length sits comfortably in medium to large hands. The texture provides sufficient grip, even with wet hands. This knife can be opened one-handed thanks to the spring-assisted opening mechanism. The liner lock locking mechanism is easy to operate.

Maintenance and durability

The 3Cr13MoV material is reasonably rust-resistant but does require regular maintenance. Clean the knife after use, especially after contact with moisture or salt. A drop of oil on the mechanism keeps the spring assist smooth. The steel is easy to sharpen with a standard sharpening stone.
