Construction and Operation

This pellet trap from RAM Tactical features a clever design with five metal target figures in the shape of wild boars. The dimensions are 49 cm wide, 19 cm high, and 21 cm deep. The unique aspect of this knockdown target is the central reset mechanism: if you shoot down the four outer boars, you can reset them all at once by hitting the central target. This works via a magnetic system that returns the fallen figures to their starting position. The black steel construction is robust enough for intensive use, although the figures themselves are made of 1 mm thick metal.

Application and Power Range

This target is suitable for air rifles with lead pellets – do not use steel pellets to avoid damage. The ideal shooting distance starts at 25 metres. At shorter distances, there is a risk that the thin metal figures may deform due to the impact. With lower-powered air rifles, the reset mechanism may sometimes need a little assistance: in that case, place a piece of tape on the magnet to adjust its operation. For safety, protective eyewear is essential, as pellets can ricochet off the metal.
