The Shogun team was immediately impressed by the solid construction of this powerful air pistol. With a weight of 1.6 kg, it feels substantial without becoming too heavy during longer shooting sessions. The polymer-metal construction gives it a professional appearance and the ergonomically shaped pistol grip with finger grooves fits excellently in the hand. Hatsan’s XRS recoil reduction system works well – the recoil is noticeably dampened by the clever design in which the barrel and cylinder move backwards within the frame.

This break barrel system operates on spring power and delivers consistent performance. With an overall length of 475mm, the air pistol remains manageable despite the 184mm long barrel. The 11mm dovetail mounting rail offers options for fitting a rifle scope for even greater precision. It comes standard with an adjustable gold-plated Quattro trigger and TruGlo fibre optic rear and front iron sights for excellent visibility under various lighting conditions.

Use and operation

Loading this air pistol is simple: break the barrel downwards, insert a pellet, and close the barrel again – the familiar break barrel principle. The single action trigger provides a predictable firing cycle. The safety catch is easily accessible and operates intuitively. Thanks to the adjustable front and rear iron sights, you can perfectly set the sight to your personal preference and shooting distance. The 4.5mm calibre ensures good availability of pellets.
