During a bushcraft weekend, this knife performed excellently when splitting kindling. The tanto point allowed for precise notches in hard oak. In wet conditions, the rubber grip provided sufficient hold, although we noticed the blade needed sharpening more frequently after intensive use.

The 3Cr13 steel offers a good balance between ease of use and maintenance. This Chinese stainless steel is scratch-resistant and remains reasonably sharp with normal use. The tanto blade shape with plain-edge cuts effectively through rope, wood and food. The black coating provides extra protection against corrosion.
