An HPA engine like this Hydra Gen 2 replaces the complete gearbox in your airsoft replica. The system operates on compressed air (HPA - High Pressure Air) instead of an electric motor and gears. This engine is specifically designed for replicas with offset nozzles such as the M14, P90, and other platforms that differ from the standard M4/AR15 design. The Hydra Gen 2 uses a hybrid open/closed bolt technology that precisely controls the nozzle for consistent BB placement in your hop-up unit.

Technical specifications

The Hydra Gen 2 engine features a green finish and comes with a Gen 2 Premium FCU (Fire Control Unit). The system has an integrated filtered airline and a front bearing plate for nozzle stability. The engine operates at 60-140 PSI adjustable pressure and has a US fitting for your HPA hose. The rate of fire is adjustable from 5 to 35 RPS (rounds per second), with fully adjustable dwell time. The electronics require 6-8V battery input and are compatible with all Wolverine Airsoft FCUs.

Compatibility and application

This HPA engine fits almost all gearboxes with an offset nozzle, including Version 6 gearboxes. The Hydra Gen 2 is a universal platform suitable for replicas that do not have the standard M4 nozzle alignment. For optimal performance, the use of a STORM regulator is recommended. Installation requires technical knowledge of airsoft internals and complete disassembly of your replica.
