During a multi-day bushcraft expedition, we tested this survival knife intensively. The large size took some getting used to, but when chopping branches and preparing wood, it proved its worth. The balance felt a bit blade-heavy for finer tasks.

Performance and sharpness of this knife

The blade is made from 3Cr13 steel, a reliable type of steel that can be sharpened well and is reasonably corrosion-resistant. The bowie blade shape with plain-edge grind makes this outdoor knife suitable for cutting rope and wood. It performs excellently for heavier work, although it is less suitable for precision tasks.

Grip and ease of use

The sturdy rubber grip with hand guard sits comfortably in the hand, even during prolonged use. The texture prevents slipping, even with wet hands. With a weight of 733 grams, you feel the power behind every chop, but for EDC this knife is too large.
